H. Douglas Thompson
Vice President - Business Development
Mr. Thompson joined Thompson Realty Corporation in 1992 to serve as Director of Development and to assist in leasing and marketing. Mr. Thompson's experience in development and office leasing is extensive. As Leasing Manager for CityPlace, a subsidiary of The Southland Corporation, Mr. Thompson coordinated the leasing and marketing of CityPlace Center, a 42-story, 1.4 million square foot office building located on Central Expressway near downtown Dallas. During this time, occupancy at CityPlace Center increased 62 percent (98,000 square feet).
Prior to joining CityPlace's leasing team, Mr. Thompson spent six years with CityPlace Development Corporation and was responsible for the management and development of the 160-acre, $180 million CityPlace development. In this position, Mr. Thompson arranged joint venture partnerships with developers and assisted in development of the 220-unit Park Apartments with the Trammell Crow Company.
Mr. Thompson is actively involved in the development and leasing of Thompson Realty Corporation's office portfolio. Additionally, Mr. Thompson is currently involved in the development and acquisition of additional office product in the Dallas, Richardson and Plano markets in Texas.
Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977, and his Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1979. |
