Robert C. Schraplau, RA

Vice President - Construction and Development

Robert Schraplau has been involved in design, construction, and real estate development for the past thirty years. Using his background in architecture and his experience in land development and construction, Robert has been able to focus on areas such as project planning, building design, value engineering, cost efficiency, maintenance, and operations to maximize net operating income.

Since joining Thompson Realty Corporation in July of 1998, Robert has:

Directed the design and construction of many projects including the 1600 Collins building, Lookout office buildings phase I and II, 1000 Jupiter office buildings, and two multi-family projects in San Antonio

Completed over 500,000 square feet of tenant finish-out including Samsung in 1301 Lookout, and SAFECO in 1600 N. Collins.

Holds all responsibility for land planning, design, and construction of the Thompson Realty multi-family and retail developments.

Shares the responsibility, as Vice President of Carbon Thompson Development, for over 150 million worth of mixed-use development operations in Virginia.

Robert's Certifications and Training include:

Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arkansas

State of Texas Registered Architect

Member of NCARB

Project experience domestically as well as years of experience in the Middle East and Asia.
